Mostly Misobservations, but some good stuff too

This page is just stuff I want to save info on for future use.

Witchcraft/Wicca Witchcraft, or Wicca, is a form of neo-Paganism. It is officially recognized as a religion by the U.S. government.
This is a diverse movement that knows no central authority. Practitioners do not all have the same views, beliefs and practices.
While all witches are pagans, not all pagans are witches. Likewise, while all Wiccans are witches, not all witches are Wiccans.

Malachite is a green stone with bands. It is a stone of power and protection. If you place it on your altar it is suppose to help you send energy out toward you magical purposes.
It is said that be really good at helping to prevent falls, and particularly good for protective magick involving children.

Legend states that if a person wears or carries a malachite with them it will break to warn the owner of impending danger.

A ritual to get acquainted with the Fae:

To begin:
Invoke your chosen Deity. Leave an offering to the flower Fairy’s such as a garland of violets, a rose, or small cakes.
Light your candle and speak the following:

"Gentle Flower Fairies from near and far,
Come watch over my back yard
Bless these herbs, and fragrant flowers
Fill them with your loving power.
Late at night when firefly's glow
Use your magic to make them grow
By the powers of the stars, moon and sun
Do as I will and it harm none."

When done, meditate for a moment or lie back and sip some wine and observe the moon and night sky.

You are the Rat!You are noted for your charm and attraction for the opposite sex. You work hard to achieve your goals, acquire possessions, and are most likely a perfectionist. You are basically thrifty with money. You can be easily angered and love to gossip. Your ambitions are big, and you are usually very successful. An important lesson for the Rat is to learn to consider others above yourself, at least sometimes.

Well some of this is true.

The Pentagram

THE PENTAGRAM By Mike Nichols

The pentagram, or five-pointed star, may be the most misunderstood
religious symbol around these days. Being the most common symbol of
Neo-Pagan Witchcraft, it has nevertheless been denigrated by movie
and publishing industries which seem 'hell-bent' on connecting it
with Satanism and other malevolent practices. However, like the Roman
Cross or Crucifix, it is only when the symbol is INVERTED that it
alludes to negativity. And even then, there are exceptions, as we
shall see.

In its usual upright position (one point uppermost), the pentagram is
an ancient symbol of protection from evil. Also called 'the endless
knot' (in its interlaced form), the pentagram was often displayed on
doors, windows, and hearths of houses throughout pre-Christian
Europe. It can be traced back to Egyptian and Sumerian cultures, and
has even been found on Native American medicine tools. Sometimes
mistakenly confused with the Star of David, or hexagram (a six-
pointed star emblematic of Judaism), the pentagram is sometimes
called the Star of Solomon, especially by ceremonial magicians.

To many, the lower four points represent the classical elements of
earth, air, fire, and water, while the fifth point, surmounting the
others, represents spirit, the fifth element or quintessence. Thus,
the pentagram symbolizes the four elements of the material world
connected with, but ruled by, the spirit. When the pentagram is
placed within a circle (symbol of unity and wholeness), it stresses
our connection with the universe as a whole.

Another interpretation is that there is not one point upward -- but
three! In numerology, three is the number of harmony, best expressed
in the classical formula: thesis, antithesis, and synthesis. In other
words, it is the middle point that harmonizes the opposing outer
points. The Celtic love of triads (the most common form of
their 'wisdom literature') has its roots in this model. The upper
three points are thus placed above the lower two points, which
represents dualistic opposites that cannot be integrated or
harmonized (seeing everything in black and white).

Yet another interpretation of the upright pentagram is that it
symbolizes the most common view of deity in Witchcraft. The upper
three points represent the Goddess in her threefold aspect of Maiden,
Mother, and Crone. The lower two points represent her consort God, in
his twin aspects of God of Light and God of Darkness. However, in all
these interpretations, it is important to remember that all the
points are connected -- each an aspect of the other, all part of the
same whole.

But when the pentagram is inverted, so is its meaning. Thus, an
inverted pentagram may represent the physical world (four material
elements) in domination of the world of spirit (the fifth element).
(This may be why Satanists and other 'demonistic' groups use this
symbol.) With two points uppermost, it may also express a Neo-
Platonic dualism (the old 'war in heaven', good vs. evil theme) -- as
opposed to the Pagan monistic view of reality ('the Force') seen in
the single point upward. The most common exception to this rule is
that some traditions of Witchcraft (chiefly British) employ the
inverted pentagram as a POSITIVE symbol of advanced degree. In this
case, the two points uppermost represent the horns of light, symbol
of 'the Horned God', consort to the Great Goddess (like the Greek god
Pan).

The word 'pentacle', sometimes mistakenly substituted for pentagram,
really refers to a shallow dish (usually inscribed with a pentagram)
and used as an altar tool by modern Witches, serving a purpose
similar to the 'patten' at a Roman Catholic Mass. Common variations
of this tool include a dish of earth, a disk of copper, a dish of
silver, or a disk of wax.

The suit of pentacles (or 'coins') in the Tarot deck, the Stone of
Fal (coronation stone of kings) in ancient Ireland, the sangreal of
the Holy Grail processions, and the 'Universal Man' of Leonardo da
Vinci, are all related to the pentagram, stressing its ties to the
earth and nature, making it a symbol par excellence of an earth or
nature religion. The five points also represent the five physical
senses and allude to approaching the spiritual realm THROUGH the
sensual -- in fact, the meaning of the Ace of Pentacles in Tarot. In
numerology, 5 is the number of sexuality, combining the feminine 2
with the masculine 3. Thus, the pentagram also represents the
opposite of asceticism.

But wherever the pentagram is displayed, one message is clear: evil
has no power there.

Ceromancy

Ceromancy is quite an old way to work.

By dripping the wax in a bowl of cold water and seeing what shape the wax has hardened into, then a reading can be seen.

You can use any color candle although darker colors show up better.  It takes only a bit of imagination on the part of the seer to decypher the images which emerge from the bit of hot wax allowed to drop into the bowl of cold water.

This little poem by an author unknown ---describes how to tell by the
flame.

Touch a light to the little wick,
Watch it burn to the candlestick.
Study with care the little blaze;
Fortunes are told in its tiny rays.

If an unseen power makes it weak and low,
For you it foretells a tale of woe.
If that same power makes a blaze bright and healthy,
You'll be happy and wise, be good and wealthy.

My birth star

Your Birthday Star:

Your birthday star is in the constellation Bootes. It has the name ¥ó (Tau) Bootis in Johann Bayer's Uranometria star catalog. It is also called 4 Bootis in the Historia C©«lestis Britannica of John Flamsteed and Edmund Halley. It is called NS 1347+1727 A in the NStars database.

It has visual magnitude 4.5 meaning that you could just see this star with the naked eye under the best viewing conditions. It is marked in the center of this star chart, at celestial coordinates (J2000 equinox):

Right ascension   13:47:15.8
Declination 17:27:24.9

This star is 51.0 light years away, which means that the light we see from it today set off on its journey at about the same time that you were born. Come back in a month or two and your birthday star may change, as the light from more distant stars reaches Earth.

A Crash Course In A Witchs Garden

When considering our Health, we cannot separate it from our Environment. The Earth's Health Influences and Reflects our own. As Witch's, we are responsible for caring for our environment because we understand this "Interconnectedness ". The Garden is an excellent place to begin a Ripple Effect of Healing by tending it in a sustainable manner. This Healing can be seen by the increase of vitamins in the foods we've grown organically. Subtle Healing Effects will gradually become evident as gaps in life cycles are filled. All forms of Wildlife and Insects will return to the Garden and Renew the Essential Balance, Eliminating the need for Pesticides, Herbicides, and Chemical Fertilizers. The garden will also Renew your Balance and Life Force.

Tending the garden will Tone your body, Clarify your mind, and Energize your Spirit. Other side effects of your Healthy Garden will become apparent in all aspects of your life. Healing Formulas, Spell Components, and any other Creations that incorporate plants grown in this Magickal manner will all have enormously Magnified Energy.

To understand this method, go to an Undisturbed area like a woodland plot, Secluded area of a park, or under a large, healthy shrub. Notice that when you're under a canopy of foliage the atmosphere is different. It smells Fresh,
Moist, and Soothing. Touch the soil. Generally, it will be Soft and Spongy, with layers of newly accumulated debris, and below that, Humus rich soil in many stages of decomposition. The soil here contains Microorganisms whose Sacred Names include: Fungi, Protozoa, Yeast, Worms, and Insects. These life forms are known collectively as "Edaphon". Life flows through everything here and you may begin to feel more Balanced. This feeling is the Essence of a Witch's method of gardening. There's more to this than the standard gardening techniques, read on...

GOOD SOIL

Good Soil consists of: 93% Mineral and 7% Bio-Organic substances. The Bio-Organic parts include: 85% Humus, 10% Roots, and 5% Edaphon. The Edaphon consists of: 40% Fungi/Algae, 40% Bacteria/Actinomyce te, 12% Earthworms, 5% Macro Fauna, and 3% Micro/Mesofauna.

After a year of Organic Treatment, Earthworms, or "Tiny Tillers", should flourish. Chemical Fertilizers Kill Earthworms and other soil life that release Carbonic Acid (Plant Roots do too). This Acid Converts Minerals in the soil to a form that plants can assimilate.

Soil Nutrients are to plants what Proteins, Fats, Carbohydrates, Vitamins, and Minerals are to people. Air, All Gasses, including Carbon Dioxide or CO2, Water, Earth and Fire (Sun) are essential to the plant world. Synthetic forms of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (N, P, and K respectively) in chemical fertilizers are stated on packages like 15-30-15 or 10-5-5. These Salt Based Fertilizers will readily wash out of the soil and into our water systems. Undines Look Out!

We must Regularly Replace Non-Organic Forms of these Nutrients because of this constant leeching. Salts Accumulate in the upper soil surfaces and "Burn" tender roots and soil life. Potted plants will show evidence of this build up with powdery white deposits on the soil surface or a ring on the pot. Most plants cannot tolerate this much salt in any form. This is a good reason to try Not to use Salt in outdoor rituals for circle casting or purification. Instead, use a truly sacred replacement such as Compost or Soil for the Earth Element. I've used soil from my birthplace, as well as soil from a fellow Witch's Garden to help link with them when being together in person isn't possible.

SYNTHETIC FERTILIZERS

Synthetic Fertilizers cause plant cells to grow too quickly, developing thin cell walls. The spaces between each cell are larger too, causing the entire plant to be more susceptible to insects and disease. These plant predators hunt
for the easiest path to lunch, and the thin cell walls and gaps between them are an open invitation. By invading your crops, these pesky predators are fulfilling an essential duty, that of restoring balance and eliminating problems.

So, you ask, how can I Nourish my Garden, Self and Planet? The following represents a basic outline of techniques to get you started:

COMPOST

Composting will unlock the Nutrients from the components you put in the compost pile. Begin by making a four foot diameter place in your garden in part sun. Next, layer 4-6 inches of Carbon materials, "Browns," with 1-2 inches of Nitrogen material, "Greens." Mystickal formulas of Carbon to Nitrogen Ratios can be found in many superb garden grimoires. However, you will find that Intuition, Observation, and Experimentation provide the best results. The following describes the basic compost cauldron components and guidelines for their use.

DO USE

"Greens" are sources of Nitrogen, a plant Nutrient that helps Heat up a compost pile by Activating the Micro Life in it. Sources Include: Fresh Green Weeds, Kitchen Scraps, Manure, Cottonseed Meal, and Blood Meal. "Browns" are Carbon materials like Straw, Hay, last year's Garden Debris, Crop Residue, Chopped Leaves, and Sticks under a half inch in diameter.

X DON'T USE X

Oil, Wax, Meat (small, clean bones are OK), Colored Newspaper, Weeds that have Set Seed, Diseased or Pest Infested Plants, and Pet Wastes or Litters. (which can carry diseases, among other problems)

INVOKE

Invoke the powers of the microbial soil life with a half inch layer of garden soil sprinkled over each "Green" layer. When the pile reaches about 4 feet high, water it well to the consistency of a wrung out sponge, and let it rot! It will slowly turn into fertilizer that feeds your plants and your soil without interrupting the Symbiotic Relationship between the two. When it is done, it will be Brown and Crumbly. This process can take from 2 weeks to 6 months. If you're in a hurry, you can speed things up by turning it every week. To turn a pile, remove the top and outside layers and put them on the ground beside the pile. Then continue with the next layers until you've tuned it upside down while fluffing it to let it breathe. If the pile smells bad, or if flies are taking an interest in it, then turn the pile, incorporate more "Browns," make sure it's not soggy (cover it in the rain), and cover the top of the heap with an inch of soil or hay to eliminate the problem and disapproving looks from neighbors. Finished compost is used as a fertilizer and mulch around and under plants.

Diseased Plants and Weeds with Seeds require Hot compost, one that reaches 140-165 degrees. This technique is best left for more experienced practitioners who are more adept at its mysteries. Use these plant materials as Erosion Control far from the garden, burn them, or if necessary, dispose of them in the regular garbage. Meanwhile, train yourself in hot compost Magick through Reading, Intuition, and Experience.

Nearly all Organic forms of Nitrogen, like those used in making compost, contain varying amounts of Phosphorus, Potassium, and Trace Minerals. Composting ingredients that contain high percentages of these nutrients will improve your end fertilizer. Trace Minerals can be derived from plants with literally rock breaking, carrot-like tap roots that explore 25 feet or more down into the Earth. These plants include Dandelions, Alfalfa, Comfrey, and Plantain. Harvest
their Leaves as a "Green" and let the roots put forth new leaves for the next compost pile. The older the plant, the better the fertilizer, as the roots have probed even deeper into the Earth.

Phosphorus and Potassium are present in most Crop Residues and Manure, but you may need to Supplement your soil or compost with additional sources. Your local extension service can provide information on soil tests that help determine what amendments will improve your soil's nutrient levels. These tests can be costly, but if problems arise they will guide you in restoring soil balance. Greens and Rock Phosphate (NOT Superphosphate that damages earthworms and other soil life), crushed Granite and Glacier Rock are all good sources. You can apply them directly to the garden bed according to package directions, or to the compost pile with a handful between each layer. The amendments come in various packages and if you can't find them locally.

Compost has Nitrogen in it, but additional sources may also be desired. The same Manure used in compost can be applied directly to the soil. Do this several weeks before planting to give the manure time to mellow. Cover Crops are grown exclusively to Feed the Soil with Nitrogen and other nutrients. When mature, they are tilled under, and the soil life transforms them into fertilizer. Life is provided for by Death. Every cover crop has different amounts and types of Nutrients. Wheat, Oats, Calendula, Buckwheat, and Legumes are all common cover crops. Legumes are most often used because they are a group of plants such as Clover, Beans, and Peas that "Fix" Nitrogen. They have a Symbiotic Relationship with a type of soil life known as Nematodes.

These beneficial Nematodes take Nitrogen from the Air and "Fix" it to the Legume's Roots. They look like tiny white potatoes clinging to the root system. They release Nitrogen to the plant, helping it thrive. When the crop of legumes is tilled into the soil, it becomes a time release fertilizer as plants and nematodes break down again.

The following tips will also help to create your Bewitching Garden. These methods can be used in any garden, in sun or shade, and can be started any time of the year with Spring and Summer being ideal.

RAISED BEDS

"Raised Beds" save water, compost and amendments that are only used where the plants grow and not in paths. Crops can be grown closer together which saves space. You do not need to use the "Space Between Rows" recommendation from seed packets, since rows are not used. Only the "Space Between Plants" recommendation is needed. This provides a Canopy of Foliage that traps CO2 and Soil Moisture like a suspended mulch. The leaves shade the soil to further reduce weeding and watering chores.

Make beds wide enough to reach across comfortably, 4 ft. is standard, in order to save work from bending and straining. Raised beds drain well to allow plants to develop healthy root systems, and they solve rot problems in packed clay soil. They also warm faster in the spring for earlier planting and remain unpacked from foot traffic that would otherwise choke oxygen from roots and spread disease. If you use concrete blocks or railroad ties, your bed supports can provide a convenient resting spot. Make paths wide enough so that you can walk side by side with friend or partner without breaking off plants.

MULCH

Weeding and Water requirements are kept to a minimum by mulching. Use Compost, Straw, Hay, Woodchips, Color-Free Newspaper, or special Mulch Papers. All of these sources will slowly decompose, conditioning the soil and slowly feeding plants. Mulch will also save your plants when you are low on compost.

GARDEN SANITATION

The Garden is a Sacred Space and Rain is its Consecrated Cleansing. It should have Solitude during this Purifying time. Mud on shoes or wet skin and tools, can spread diseases normally not as easily transported without moisture. If you wish to accompany the garden in this cleansing, do so quietly and meditatively. If you have urgent work to do, limit your areas of activity and avoid touching plants.

Your Garden's first year of withdrawal from chemical dependency may be severe, because the soil life is insufficient to transform its components into nutrients. However, after the first year, it will flourish and the trouble is worth it. While at first resisting the temptation to reach for a quick fix fertilizer is difficult, be persistent while the balance is being restored. Talk to and love your friends through it, touching them, especially the ones in the tobacco family. Members of this family have fuzzy feelers on their stems and leaves and touching them causes thickened cell structure and sturdier, disease resistant plants.

Plants grown with these methods will Glow with a Mystickal Aura and they will Release their Intoxicating Fragrances to greet you on your daily visits. The Garden will Soothe and Quiet people, perhaps because of an Elusive Awareness
that something Powerful and Sacred is happening or because of its Visual Beauty.

Planting by the Phases of the Moon, Sabbat's, or under Specific Planetary Influences will also Amplify the Garden's Energy. This kind of information can be found in most Almanacs. Planting in Special Patterns, Celtic Knots, Circles, Pentacles, or any Imaginative Magickal Design that you've created will also Enhance and Focus Energy.

Faery Herbs & Flowers

* Bluebells *
Said to attract faeries to dance in your garden. On Beltane eve, make
an ankle bracelet of "Bluebells" and "jingle" bells to attract helpful
fae folk to you.

* Clover *
A sacred faery plant, clovers of all kinds will attract them. Lay
seven grains of wheat on a four-leafed clover to see the Faery.

* Elderberry *
Used to make Faery wine, these berries can be burned on a fire to
invite the Good Folk to a gathering. Make a homemade brew of Elderberry Wine
and you are sure to have some thirsty visitors. It is said that if a human
drinks the wine, she will be able to see the Faery. If a human should
drink Elderberry wine from the same goblet as a Faery being, he will be able
to see them forever after.

* Elecampagne *
Also known as Elfswort. This root can be scattered around the home to
attract the Sidhe. It can be added to any magick or spell to invoke
Faery blessing.

* Foxglove *
The source of the modern heart drug Digitalis, Foxglove can have
seriously dangerous results if taken internally. DO NOT INGEST!! Instead,
plant
Foxglove near your front door to invite the Faery in. Put a dried
sprig of Foxglove in a talisman to keep you surrounded in Faery light.

* Heather *
Heather is said to ignite faery passions and open portals between
their world and our own. Make an offering of Heather on "Beltane" eve to
attract
good fae to your garden

* Lilac *
The sweet scent is said to draw Fae spirits to your garden. Lilac and
primroses for midsummers eve, will please the Fae.

* Mistletoe *
The most sacred herb of the Druids. Mistletoe is a magickal activator.
In Faery spells, use a dash of Mistletoe taken on Summer Solstice to
empower your workings with Faery magick.

* Milkweed *
Both Monarch butterflies and fairies like milkweed. If Milkweed is
planted in a Witches garden, the fey will always be in the area. The
silky tassels of the Milkweed pods can be added to a dream pillow to
not only make it softer but also to make you dream of fairies. In the Autumn
when the pods are bursting and the fluffy seeds are flying across the
fields, a wish is
granted for each seed that can be caught and then released again.

* Peony *
Peony seeds were once used to protect children from faeries. A garland
of the seeds were placed around the child's neck to keep them safe
from kidnapping. In this day and age, with faery contact so drastically
diminished, I doubt that anyone would want to don this faery banishing
herb unless they were living smack dab in the middle of a circle of crazed
Fae!!

* Poppies *
Said to invoke the faery into your dreams Make a dream pillow of fresh
poppies to entice the fae to your dreams.

* Primrose *
When planted in a garden or hung dried on the front door, primroses
will attract the company of Faeries. If you have them growing under your
care, do not let them die! The Faery will be deeply offended by your
carelessness. Primroses are great in container gardens. Tie a pink
ribbon around your container of Primroses while chanting;
"Sacred roses, hear my cry
for your protection, this I tie"

* Roses *
Roses attract the Faery to a garden. Their sweet scent will lure
elemental spirits to take up residence close by. Roses can be used in Faery
love
spells. When performing the spell, sprinkle rose petals under your feet and
dance softly upon them while asking the Faery for their blessing on your
magick.

Roses are loved by the fey so you can plant Roses in your garden to
attract fairies. Wild Roses are best for this purpose and you need to say the
following spell as you plant your baby Rose bush:

"I ask a fairy from the wild,
To come and tend this wee rose-child.
A babe of air she thrives today,
Root her soul in the Goddesses' good clay.
Fairies make this twig your bower,
By your magic shall time see her flower!"

* Thyme *
Wearing thyme will increase your ability to see the Sidhe. Sprinkle it
at thebase of your door, and on window sills to invite the Faery to enter
your home.

Angels

THE ANGELIC REALM

Pulling out the old Oxford Dictionary, I find Angel defined as: "An attendant or messenger of God, usually shown in pictures as a being in human form with wings and dressed in long white robes."

The New Age A to Z has Angel defined much more detailed: "The title of a level achieved in the multi leveled or hierarchical etheric world intelligence. This level of achievement is gained over many lifetimes of purifying the spirit or by coming up through the ranks, first as a nature spirit. Angels are "messengers" as the Greek root word indicates.... Angels don’t have earthly bodies. However, they can lower the vibratory rate of their bodies and make appearances in what look like human bodies. When asked, angels bring help and wisdom to those on earth. They are asked either consciously or unconsciously."

Angels are for everyone!

Richard Webster points out that all religions, and people without a religion, have seen Angels. You will find Angels in every religion and myth.

Angels appear different to different people!

This fact that Angels appear to people differently seems to reflect the expectation of the viewer! Some don’t see them yet seem to be aware of them, often as a small voice that they may see as their conscience.

Angels are not people who died, nor male or female.

Webster tells that us that, besides the prophet Enoch, angels are not someone who has passed on, but are immortal, ageless, sexless and able to make themselves visible or invisible. Sometimes an angel will come in a feminine form or choose to be sexless or male.

Angels act as messengers between heaven and earth as well as acting as Guides, protectors and nurtures. The word angel comes from the Greek word angelos, which is derived from the Hebrew word mal’ akh, meaning "messenger".

Don Gilmore, a minister, describes Angels as "forms, images or expressions through which the essences and energy forces of God can be transmitted."

Some Say Angels have their own Hierarchy.

I must say that when ever I have spoken to the Arch Angels, they laugh at this idea of Hierarchy. They say that no one is closer to God than another! The first time a hierarchy is mentioned seems to be in the fifth century by Pseudo-Dionysius. He says there are nine choirs of Angels which are arranged in three groups or triads.

First Triad: 1 Seraphim, 2 Cheribum, 3 Thrones

Second Triad: 4 Dominions, 5 Virtues, 6 Powers

Third Triad: 7 Principalities, 8 Archangels, 9 Angels

The Arch Angels names vary depending on who you ask!

For this information, I went to my favorite Arch Angel expert, John Sackett. John is a conscious channel. As a matter of fact, he is the clearest channel I know!

John told me that the Seven Arch Angels are Michael (blue), Gabriel (crystalline white), Uriel (ruby), Raphael(green) These are the four primary ones that relate to the four directions, astrological elements and such. And then Jophiel (yellow) (my buddy), Zadkiel (violet) and Chamuel (rose pink). These names are the one’s that John has personally experienced and I have also dealt with most of them. Each has a distinct personality and vibration or feel to them.

In Webster’s book he has the same first four Arch Angels but has Raguel, Sariel and Remiel as the last three. Both he and John speak of seeing many different versions.

Arch Angel Michael’s Name is said to mean "One Who Is Like God". Webster said he represents love, his element is fire, his direction is south, his season is autumn, his color is red and his zodiac signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. If this is true, Michael would represent the Lion. As you can see there are differences in opinion, so go with what feels the best to you!

Arch Angels Gabriel’s name is said to mean "God Is My Strength". Webster says he represents overcoming doubt and fear, his element is water, his direction is west, his season is winter, his color is emerald and his zodiac signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Gabriel would then represent the Phoenix.

Arch Angel Raphael’s name is said to mean "Shining One Who Heals". I do know that Raphael is very often associated with healing. Wester says he represents healing, his element is air, his direction is east, his season is spring, his color is blue and his zodiac signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Raphael would then represent the Angel Man.

Arch Angel Uriel’s (who is the most funny and easy going of the lot) name is said to mean "Fire Of God" and Webster says he represents clear thinking, his element is Earth, his direction is north, his season is summer, his color is white and his zodiac signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. He would then represent the bull.

There is one more important Angel to mention and that is Metatron. Webster says his name means "Closest To The Throne". Metatron is not an Arch Angel, but Webster tells us he is the only human being to become an Angel and that he was formally the prophet Enoch.

Ametrine

Ametrine is a rare and unusual stone which occurs in quartz when amethyst and citrine reside in the same crystal. Because the color zoning effect is natural, no two ametrines will ever be exactly alike.

The world's only source of this bicolored natural quartz is the Anahi Mine located in the jungles of Bolivia. It is rumoured that the mines where first discovered by native Indians in the seventeenth century. The Bolivian government declared the land a state reserve and built a fortress near the mine entrance. Despite its remote location, ametrine (as well as natural amethyst and citrine) made its way across the border to Brazil. These goods were then sold as Brazilian products. This caused a change in the government in Bolivia in 1989. The rights to the mine were sold, and during the past decade, these collectible gems became available on the domestic marketplace.

Ametrine is among an elite group of gems, because as of now there is just one source of this treasure in the world. You should add an ametrine to your collection now, since its future availability is uncertain at best.

Healing properties of Ametrine

Ametrine is very helpful in getting rid of depression. This leads to inner peace and tranquility.

Many believe that it contains the powers of amethyst and citrine in one stone, making it a very powerful money stone as well as an excellent via to higher psychic awareness and spiritual enlightenment.

VERY RARE POWER STONE.

This is so me its scary!

Rising Sign is in 24 Degrees Sagittarius
You are known for being open, frank, outgoing and honest. At times, though, you are also blunt and quite indiscreet. Others have to learn not to take everything you say personally, because you usually do not mean any harm. You appreciate living your life in a straightforward and simple manner -- you dislike social niceties and consider them to be hindrances to real communication. You have lots and lots of energy and tend to become quite restless if you feel confined. You demand the freedom to do as you choose -- you must be self- directed or you feel trapped and anxious. With your abundant energy, you enjoy being outdoors, and you should be attracted to physical exercise or to those forms of sport which can help you burn off some of that excess energy. Very gregarious, you love to socialize -- your innate enthusiasm livens up any gathering.

Sun is in 14 Degrees Libra.
Very sociable, you enjoy being with others and definitely prefer not be alone. Warm and affectionate, you go out of your way to make others like you. You despise ugliness, for you being surrounded by beauty and harmony is a necessity of life. You prefer fine clothing, an attractive home and pleasant surroundings wherever you are. Your refined tastes apply to music and to art as well. At times, you are very indecisive you waver and falter when forced to make a choice because you have the ability to see both sides of any question. The positive part of this is that you are very fair-minded and can be trusted to settle disputes. Your greatest challenge is to take any one- on-one encounter and make the most of it.

Moon is in 00 Degrees Sagittarius.
An idealist, you prefer the grand, the beautiful, the good and the noble. You get very disappointed when your high expectations in life are not met. Very curious by nature, you enjoy traveling and learning about other peoples and cultures. Try to avoid your tendency to ignore the small but important details of living. You are independent and free, and you want others to be that way, too. Optimistic, buoyant and cheerful, others like to have you around. You have an incessant desire to learn as much as possible about metaphysics, religion, philosophy and any other broad, deep subject. Your life tends to be punctuated by bursts of energy and frenetic activity.

Mercury is in 27 Degrees Virgo.
Very thorough and efficient, you pay attention to the minor but important details of any project. You are a careful thinker who can learn complicated, intricate techniques. You are attracted to practical, useful skills and are probably good at working with your hands. You are very critical of yourself and others, sometimes too much so, and you get the reputation of being a nag or of being nit-picky. Your first reaction to any situation is to try to organize, classify and analyze everything!

Venus is in 01 Degrees Virgo.
You express your love and affection through selfless service to people or causes. You have a tendency to underestimate yourself and doubt your self-worth. This is very demeaning and should be avoided -- learn to love yourself as well as you do others. Your standards of perfection are very high -- you are attracted to relationships based on duty and responsibility. You are supercritical of yourself and others and, at times, prefer to be alone rather than deal with any imperfections in yourself or in those with whom you might relate.

Mars is in 13 Degrees Pisces.
Very sensitive and vulnerable, it is difficult for you to assert yourself. At times, you feel quite tired and you will require a lot of sleep in order to maintain your health and your strength. You are at your best when you act without your ego being important. You can be very unselfish and considerate of the needs of others. You get the most satisfaction by giving to others when you expect nothing in return. Beware of a tendency to want always to work behind the scenes or to become overly deceptive by doing things behind others' backs.

Jupiter is in 19 Degrees Virgo.
You feel most expansive and at ease with yourself when you are doing something that you consider to be practical or useful. You enjoy being dutiful and carrying out responsibilities. You gladly take on the little tasks that others seem to want to avoid. At times, you carry things to extremes and feel guilty anytime you do something that you consider to be self-indulgent. While it is appropriate for you to demand little for yourself in life, try to loosen up once in a while -- go out on a fling and enjoy yourself!

Saturn is in 29 Degrees Scorpio.
You tend to release emotional energies only very reluctantly. This is partly due to your fear of what horrible calamity might occur should they be released -- your emotions are terribly complicated and intense. Try not to repress these energies entirely, however, or you will succumb to negative and destructive forms of compulsive behavior. Give yourself the freedom to look awkward or silly once in a while. The relief you feel will be quite therapeutic and the embarrassment (whether it is real or imagined) will pass quickly.

Uranus is in 06 Degrees Leo.
You, and your peers as well, demand complete and total freedom of self- expression. You want to make your mark in the world according to your own lights and will brook no interference from traditional authority figures, especially if they attempt to mold or shape you in any way. You are honest and forthright, but a bit offbeat and eccentric. The lack of self-discipline may hinder you from reaching your goals as quickly as you would like.

Neptune is in 29 Degrees Libra.
You, and your entire generation, idealize all of the various experimental approaches to relationships -- including "living together", the formation of communes and collectives and the whole concept of "open" marriages. There is a stress on weakened commitments on an emotional and contractual level, but there are heightened expectations of the level of commitment and mutual support on the spiritual and metaphysical level.

Pluto is in 29 Degrees Leo.
For your entire generation, this is a time when the relationship of the individual to society as a whole is being thoroughly re-examined. Major attempts will be made to find a balance between the need to be self-sufficient and the need to honor debts of social commitment.

N. Node is in 29 Degrees Scorpio.
You have a special aptitude for working by yourself, or with a like-minded group of dedicated individuals. Once you've committed yourself to a person or group or project, your loyalty and devotion are total until the group's goals have been realized. Not at all gregarious by nature, you're uncomfortable around strangers, greatly preferring to be in known and familiar situations. Others may regard you as shy or eccentric, but those who know you well are aware of the intense loyalty that you have to your friends.

This has been quite an interesting reading because i believe these two very Different cards are saying the same thing..

So I will be reading them as one..
First of all i will note the symbology on both cards then give an overall!

I believe these two cards are saying your next path is a path that needs a bit of effort on your behalf, to be honest with yourself and start reaching for the sky... You have gathered so much wisdom along the way it is now time to walk your talk and share your journey.. and also for your own personal development, you need to reach for the light.. Embrace the Light, and your abilities.. You have the psychic abilities you think you have now is time to embrace them (test them) reach out and explore them to your full potential..( in which you have much) I feel you have denied yourself much. It is time for you to move forward.. I get the feeling you have had the urge for some time but have been reluctant as if something is blocking the path.. Love yourself enough to give to yourself the gift it so deserves.. Spiritual freedom to explore.

You have the strength, courage and knowledge to excel in your journey..
You have the ability to shine like the star, and brighten your own Star...
Star also says to me your guide is waiting for you. You will succeed..
So get the wheels in motion and lets see what your true potential is!

Beautiful cards Dancing Bear!

The part about renewing a love at this time doesn't fit it. It could in the near future, so I will remember this.

The rest of your reading is spot on! I have been afraid of reaching out with my potential. Afraid of rejection from my family. But I know I need to let go and get on with it because I am feeling stifled and I hate that feeling.
I sure hope my guide is waiting for me, hope they have a bit more patience, lol.

Thank you for the kick in the butt so to speak. I do need to get on.

Brightest Blessings

Cord Magick

Cord Magick

For cord magick you will need a cord (or a cingulum, as it is sometimes
called) that measures nine feet long (three times three; the perennial magick
number) and is the color appropriate to the magickal working, i.e. red for
love, green for prosperity, white for purification, yellow for healing, black
for banishing, dark blue for depression, light blue for stress, purple for
spirituality or increasing psychic ability, and orange for attraction.

Like your athame, no one else should ever use your cord but you. Tie a knot
in each end to keep it from unraveling. Be sure to consecrate the cord, by
the elements, a favored prayer, or chant.

One magickal use of the cord is as a "storage cell" for your personal power.
The first knot is tied at one end, with the words "By knot of one, the
spell's begun." At this point, chanting or meditation is appropriate until you
feel it is time to tie another knot.

The second knot is tied on the opposite end with the words: "By knot of two,
it cometh true". At this time visualize your need or desire being
fulfilled. As the power builds, more knots are tied until there are nine knots in
the cord.

Here is the pattern of tying the knots along with the appropriate words:

By knot of ONE, the spell's begun *--------
By knot of TWO, it cometh true *-------*
By knot of THREE, so mote it be *---*---*
By knot of FOUR, this power I store *-*-*---*
By knot of FIVE, the spell's alive *-*-*-*-*
By knot of SIX, this spell I fix ***-*-*-*
By knot of SEVEN, events I'll leaven ***-*-***
By knot of EIGHT, it will be Fate *****-***
By knot of NINE, what's done is mine *********

At the tying of the last (ninth) knot, all the energy is directed into the
cord and its knots. With the final visualization of the object of the work,
the power has been raised, empowering the cord, and is now "stored" in these
knots in the cord.

Why would you want to store a spell? For some magick, the time for it to
happen is important. Suppose, for example, that you want something
constructive to happen but the most propitious time for it to do so happens to be close
to the New Moon. Do you do your constructive magick during the Waxing Moon?
No. You do it early on, at the Full Moon, using a cord. Now the power is
there, properly raised, but stored for use.

You have nine knots. Although they are all tied in one ritual, these must be
released one at a time - one a day - for nine consecutive days. Release them
in the same order in which they were tied, NOT the reverse order.

In other words, on the first day untie the knot that was first tied (to know
which end you started with, when making the cord, braid in a small wooden
bead at one end and always start with this end); on the second day, the second
knot tied; and so on.

In this fashion, the last knot untied, on the ninth day, is the ninth knot
that was tied at the climax of the tying ritual - the time of greatest power.
